May 31st, 2014 | By WarHobby | Category: ReviewsZeros were the foundation of the Japanese navy and at the start of the War was one of the best fighters in the pacific. Over ten-thousand were made and served throughout the war. The Type 52 was put into production in 1943. It had improved guns, speed and maneuverability over the previous Zero design, however the armor protection was still practically non existent , this was to keep the plane maneuverable and light which came at the pilots expense.
